 In Jago c'è quell' ingegno che a Otello manca. 

Jago parla e Otello barbuglia. Jago ha pessimi sentimenti e Otello sentimenti fastidiosi.

Jago infine , come dice Hazlitt, ha il gusto della tragedia dal vero e Otello non è che un suo personaggio...
