Mark Strand Gives Up Poetry!

Mark Strand abbandona la poesia!!!

In una recente intervista con Tablet Magazine,  Mark Strand annuncia di voler lasciare la poesia per dedicarsi alla pittura, il suo primo amore.
Scriverà ancora, ma solo divertenti e brevi racconti in prosa, e anche un ricordo dei suoi genitori. Non è la prima volta che lascia la poesia:  afferma di " non aver più niente da dire" .L' altra volta non scrisse più per cinque lunghi anni!
La notizia è confermata anche da The Poetry Foundation: Mark Strand-gives-up-poetry-again.

Saper vedere

che cade

tra i fiocchi di neve

la piuma bianca dell'uccello migratore

riparato sotto la grondaia.
