Iago's reply is famous. He says, "Demand me nothing: what you know, you know: / From this time forth I never will speak word" Most criminals, when they are cornered and can not longer plead innocent, try to explain themselves so that their sentence will be lighter, but not Iago. Nell' ultima scena della tragedia, dopo che la congiura di Iago è stata scoperta, Otello chiede a Lodovico - Vorresti, ti prego, domandare a quel demonio perchè ha voluto prendermi al laccio, anima e corpo?- La replica di Iago è nota: - Non chiedetemi nulla: quello che sapete, sapete. Da questo momento non dirò più una parola-.
Molti criminali ,messi alle strette e non potendosi più proclamarsi innocenti, cercano di scusarsi per ottenere clemenza, ma non Iago. Se non può controllare il gioco, non giocherà più.

Cara Ipaz, as you say, il blog non decolla, tanto che posso scriverti un post come se ti stessi scrivendo privatamente, e già questo ne dimostra l' insuccesso, direi totale; a questo punto, che dovemo fa'?
O lo consideriamo un diario a due, sicuramente interessante e stimolante, ma allora tanto vale renderlo solo privato, o chiudiamo definitivamente questo tentativo, oppure..., non lo so, dimmi tu.

Iago :...I hate the the Moor

Ancora Iago. Perchè? Perchè Shakespeare/ Iago crede nel potere incontenibile della parola, nella sua proteiforme forza, nella sua invincibilità:  col solo sapiente uso della parola modifica la realtà  dei fatti, scatena la passione di Roderigo, la gelosia di Otello, sconvolge le relazioni tra tutti i " personaggi" della tragedia...

Othello, Iago: I am not what I am...

Perchè ancora Iago? Forse perchè Iago è un uomo  che crede sommamente nella parola, nel potere indefinibile della parola.
  Notare come la macchina da presa stringe su Iago mentre si appresta a pronunciare: "I am not..."
